Friends of the Harp Limited (FOTH) is a charity with tax exemption under Section 88 of the Inland Revenue Ordinance. FOTH has been entirely operated by volunteers since its inception in 2007.

Our journey began with the resounding success of the Hong Kong Harp Festivals - the first five held between 2006 and 2014, during which we raised funds to support organizations such as the HK Council of Social Service, Médecins Sans Frontières, and various music projects under our Music-for-Everyone Harp Learning & Outreach efforts.

Our Mission

Our core mission revolves around lowering the barrier to harp learning, fostering the benefits of music experimentation, and supporting NGOs' rehabilitation work — Most initiatives are driven by members of the harp community. Their passion and efforts led us to

Often, our volunteers find themselves inspired by the people we serve.

It has been a blessing to have the opportunity to pioneer harp charity work and witness more people joining these charitable efforts, whether by collaborating with us or creating their own initiatives. The more people involved in good causes, the better it is for society.

If you are interested in using music, harps, or NGO network to:

  • Build community connections

  • Empower individuals to contribute positively to society
